After Buffalo, How Many More? (Part I)

Disclaimer: Sensitive Topic Please Be Advised. To the Survivors, Victims, Families, and the Community of Buffalo, New York, there is nothing that I can say to take the pain away, but I hope this moment will finally push the legislative branch to make changes on the federal level. My condolences during this difficult time.

As the community of Buffalo, New York comes to the reality of what occurred on May 14, 2022. It has become evident that we are being targeted. According to the FBI, there has been an increase in Hate-Crime at the highest levels in 12+ years. The target victims are primarily Black Individuals followed by AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Individuals. While there have been strides in the legislative branch to impede these actions from the Emmett Till Anti Lynching Act and the Covid-19 Hates Crime becoming law under the Biden-Harris Administration. Until the legislative branch makes laws that classify White Supremacy as a Domestic Terrorists Group and sets penalties and fines against these groups another Buffalo is waiting to occur. Until the Justice Department, CIA, FBI, and Cyber Security, collaborate together and classify these White Supermacy Group as a danger to our society another Buffalo is in the making.

Prior to the Buffalo Massacre, the FBI confirmed reports that Payton Gendron was accused of threatening to attack his high school graduation on June 8, 2021. Instead of being charged, the alleged Domestic Terrorist was given a "mental health evaluation and counseling" this major oversight would impact 13 lives and the community of Buffalo forever. The accused massacre was able to legally purchase weapons in New York and Pennsylvania. In addition, his father purchased him a weapon used in the Buffalo Massacre. Had Payton Gendron been charged when the incident occurred he would have been placed on New York's "Red Flag" which allows family members, law enforcement and medical professionals, or school officials to petition courts to temporarily seize the persons' guns or prevent the purchase of weapons." In this case, the family, school officials, law enforcement, and medical officials all knew of this incident. Now the victims, survivors, and the community of Buffalo are paying the price in blood, trauma, and heartache.

The elders use to say the "devil likes an idle mind" and they are right. Additional report has re-surfaced that the WS was a supporter of Tucker Clarkson and his support of the White Nationalist notion of the "Great Replacement" to which 4 million+ viewers tuned in. One of his supporters Twitted "This week Tucker red-pilled 4 million people and there's nothing liberals can do about it. Tucker would double down by stating "Every time they import a new voter I become disenfranchised as a current voter." This type of rhetoric and similar ones from the #Guardiansof Putin #GQP #GIP #TeaParty has resulted in Charleston, South Carolina, Orlando, Florida, Charlottesville, Virginia, El Paso, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which claimed the lives of Black, LGBTQ+, Hispanic, AAPI(Asian American Pacific Islander), Jewish, and White lives. It has even been translated internationally in New Zealand as a WS murdered 51 Muslims in a Mosque. Regardless Tucker Carlson, other Main Stream Media outlets, and White Supremacists alike are changing the narrative by claiming this man has a "mental illness." While we collectively reflect on May being Mental Health Awareness it should not be used as a weapon to cover WS and their evil doings.

Gendron traveled an estimated 200 miles from his home in Conklin to the Tops Supermarket in Buffalo. According to Goggle Maps that is three hours and 26 minutes. After two hours of being on the road, I'm looking to go home, this was a premeditated act, in every way. In Buffalo, Black People are the second-largest demographic with 37%, while White has a demographic of 47%. The people of Buffalo spent decades trying to get a grocery store into their community, due to redlining corporations were not willing to invest in Buffalo, but Tops and the community of Buffalo came to a deal and Tops became a hub for the community. As he entered the Tops he was armed in camouflage and streamed live the massacre on the popular social media app Twitch which was later taken down. CNN reports they have a portion of the video, where you can allegedly hear him say "just go for it." In addition to the camouflage, the weapons had alleged numbers and phrases from 14 the N-word, and "here's your reparations." Other social media platforms have this horrific incident posted. Hearing accounts of persons who saw the actual massacre is nothing compared to the movies because it's the imagery is something you never get out of your mind.

After shooing 50 rounds injuring and killing 13 individuals 11 black and two white. The Buffalo Department was able to talk the WS of harming himself and he was taken into custody without incident. Now I wished the Black victims of police brutality could have had the same outcome, but that is a different post for a different day. Currently, Payton Gendron is currently being charged with one count of murder in the first degree, while a felony hearing will be held on May 19, 2021. On May 19, 2021, Judge Hannah moved the felony hearing to June 9, 2022to determine "if there's enough evidence to proceed to trial.

President Biden and Madam Vice President Harris, in addition, to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Black, Asain Pacific, and Hispanic Congressional Caucuses have released separate statements regarding the Buffalo Massacre and condemning White Supemracy via Press Releases and Social Media Platforms.

"... A racially motivated hate crime is abhorrent to the very fabric of this nation. Any act of domestic terrorism, including an act perpetrated in the name of a repugnant white nationalist ideology, is antithetical, to everything we stand for in America. Hate must have no safe harbor. "-President Joe Biden

"... What is clear is that we are seeing an epidemic of hate across our country that has been evidenced by acts of violence and intolerance. We must call it out and condemn it. Racially-motivated hate crimes or acts of violent extremism are harms against all of us and we must do everything we can to ensure that our communities are safe."-Vice President Kamala Harris

Firstly, gun violence is a public health crisis that must be addressed, and we must legislate as such. Secondly, vigilantes acting with racial animus and espousing white supremacist ideology that results in the loss of innocent lives must be classified as a hate crime." -Representative Joyce Beatty Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus

We cannot ignore the elephant no longer. It is clear this is not about the Second Amendment right as the #GuardiansofPutin #GQP #GIP like to classify it. This is to silence persons who are non-white. Do not be fooled this ties into voting do not listen to pundits or individuals who want to suppress your right for your pursuit of happiness. Be safe out there.

I would like to reflect on the 10 souls who lost their lives. I know we all have to transition one day, but my God not like this.

His Name was Heyward Patterson A Husband. Father, Deacon, Volunteer, and Community Member.

Her Name was Roberta A. Drury was a Daughter, Sister, Caregiver, and Community Member.

His name is Andre Mackneil was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend, & Community Advocate.

Her name was Celestine Chaney a Mother, Grandmother of six (6), Cancer Survivor & Community Member.

Her name was Geraldine Chapan Talley a Mother, Grandmother, Fiancee, Baker, and Community Member.

His name was Margus D. Morrison a Father of 3 (three), Bus Aide, and Community Member.

Her name was Ruth Whitfield a Wife, Mother of (4) four children, and a Community Member.

Her name was Pearly Young, a Mother, Missionary for the Buffalo Food Pantry for 25 years, and a Community Member. Family and Friends remember Pearly Young for her singing and dancing most of all her presence.

His name was Aaron Salter, a Father of three (3), former Buffalo Police Officer, Security, Community Member, and Hero. Many of the survivors claim had it not been for Aaron Salter's quick thinking of drawing his weapon against the suspect many more persons would have died.
